Recovery Tip 13 – The Contemplation Stage Of Change

Today’s tip on how to help an addicted loved one recover relates to the stages of change outlined in my book, “Unhooked”. Contemplators want both the benefits of using as well as the benefits of sobriety. As they continue to use, the costs will continue to increase, and as those costs increase, their motivation for change grows. This is the process of resolving ambivalence. So just remember to identify when your addicted loved one is in the contemplation stage of change.
