One of the premiere programs that we offer to the people of Idaho Brick House Recovery is our Partial Hospitalization Program (or PHP). The PHP is a limited-time program that is medically supervised, and offers comprehensive therapeutic and clinical services. Primarily, this is a program for individuals who are experiencing increased symptomatology, disturbances in behavior, or other conditions that negatively impact their mental or behavioral health. However, these individuals should not currently pose an immediate threat to themselves or others, and are not in need of an inpatient program.
Our PHP is open 5-days a week to our clients, who are expected to participate in the program for at least 20 hours per week. Due to the time that must be put into the PHP, this program is incredibly intensive, but also an effective necessity to preventing relapse and getting an addicted loved one out of the physical and mental hold of addiction.
Here are several key components to our partial hospitalization program:
Our skilled staff has plenty of experience in conducting psychosocial assessments, which help give our team a clear picture of whether or not our client is experiencing any range of mental health disorders.
During the course of the PHP, our clients are given a medical evaluation at least once, every week, in order to ensure that their physical health is improving under the stewardship of our program.
Addiction is not only a physical threat to our clients, but also a mental one. For this reason, we offer routine psychiatric evaluations, and continue to monitor the psychological impact that addiction and recovery is having on our clients.
We are a 12-step-based recovery center, and utilize methods from the 12-step program through community support groups that help our clients experience work through their experiences in a faith–based, judgement-free environment.
Our PHP is more than just a medical program, but also helps in the social aspects that help our clients transition back into their regular lives, free from the hold of addiction. As such, part of the services of this program is our recovery coaching and transition planning.
Our skilled staff is able to give our clients a clinical assessment, upon arrival, about what the danger level of their addiction is at, and what steps should be taken to reach a lasting recovery.
A major part of all of the programs at Brick House Recovery is our therapy sessions. In the PHP, we offer both group and individual therapy sessions to help our clients work through their behavior patterns, as they pertain to substance abuse.
We believe that it is always important to consider the place of family, friends, and loved ones in our client’s recovery process. For this reason, we offer a full-fledged family program to each of our clients. Read more about this program here.
Our staff has curated a large library of resources that is open to our clients to learn more about how addiction affects them and their loved ones, and what steps they can take to ensure a smoother recovery process.
*Please note that all participants in this program are required to participate in drug testing and breathalyzer tests.

Brick House Recovery offers outpatient care to all of our clients with our intensive outpatient program (or IOP). Our IOP is meant to provide our clients with a less-intensive option of care to deal with alcohol or other substance-related issues, since not every addicted individual is in need of something as vigorous as our partial hospitalization program.
Our intensive outpatient program is a Higher Powered based program that uses evidence-based methods to push our clients towards sobriety and a lasting recovery. To participate in this program, our clients must undergo 9 hours of treatment per week, at an absolute minimum, as well as partake in group therapy sessions at least 3 days or nights a week, and attend a weekly individual therapy session.
Here are the key components of our intensive outpatient program:
When a client is submitted into treatment in our IOP, our staff conducts a psychosocial assessment that helps us recognize any mental or social disorders that our client may be suffering from, and that must be taken into consideration with their treatment.
In our IOP, our staff will conduct medical evaluations on our clients, as needed. Some clients may need more routine medical evaluations than others, in order to gauge the physical of their particular addiction.
When a client is admitted into our IOP, we have them undergo a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation that helps us recognize the mental effects that addiction is having on their person. We continue to monitor our client’s psychiatric health, as needed, through the program.
Brick House Recovery uses a 12-step recovery program, due to its long track record and basis in the acceptance of a higher power to build a foundation towards addiction recovery. We offer 12-step community support groups that puts our clients in controlled environments to share stories and progress in their recovery journeys.
We want each of our clients to accomplish a successful recovery and to thrive beyond the recovery process. For this reason, we offer recovery coaching and transition planning services to help our clients transition back into their lives after the IOP is complete.
We give each of our clients a clinical assessment when they arrive at our recovery center and start our IOP, in order to give them a clear understanding of what level of addiction they are experiencing and what services can help them get on a track to recovery.
At Brick House Recovery, our therapy services are one of the most powerful tools that we offer. In our IOP, we expect our clients to undergo group therapy 3 times per week, and also to partake in an individual therapy session once, every week.
We believe that the connection with family and other loved ones is an essential tool to use in addiction recovery. For this reason, we have a comprehensive family program that is full of services that help family members participate in a client’s recovery process. Read more about our family program here.
All of our clients in our IOP gain access to our large library of addiction recovery resources and readings that help them to learn more about the recovery process, and to build a strong knowledge-based foundation to eliminate the effects of substance abuse.
*Please note that all participants in this program are required to participate in drug testing and breathalyzer tests

Brick House Recovery has two locations, serving Boise, Idaho Falls, Idaho, and their surrounding areas.
Brick House Recovery is an outpatient program created to help individuals and families heal from the trauma caused by addiction while rebuilding a strong spiritual foundation. Relying on the evidence-based tenets of the 12-steps, we provide clients with an environment that they need to change and thrive.
Our outpatient program is built around the philosophy that addiction is a disease. We work to move our clients away from shame-based patterns that perpetuate addiction, and instead focus on positive outcomes, forgiveness, gratitude, and growth.
The Brick House Recovery blueprint starts with at least a month-long partial-hospitalization-program (PHP) to help individuals transition, adapt, and be properly diagnosed. This stage is followed by at least three months in an intensive outpatient program (IOP). During this time, clients deep dive into the curriculum with their peers and staff members in order to target harmful patterns and heal from addiction. A significant benefit of outpatient treatment is that clients are able to work, live at home with their family and loved ones, and to practice the principles and skills learned in treatment. After successful completion of IOP, they transition to another two months of aftercare. This continued support will ensure a smooth transition from the intensive recovery program into long-term recovery and wellness. In total, it takes our clients about six months to completely work through our program to rebuild a healthy, thriving lifestyle free from addiction.
As mentioned above, our program utilizes the principles found in the 12 steps in order to facilitate spiritual connection, healing, and long-term recovery. Numerous studies have found that faith in a higher power has a powerful effect on addiction recovery. We believe that for any conversation about addiction to be comprehensive, it must include those eternal truths of forgiveness and redemption. By no means is anyone required to be religious to receive treatment at Brick House Recovery; we accept clients from all backgrounds and faiths. We simply ask that clients are open to conversations about faith and spirituality, whatever form that may come in for each individual.
Our drug testing is available separate from any other services we provide. Point-of-care tests are provided to help clients be accountable to families, courts, and corporate services. Outside laboratories are also used for confirmation and accuracy.
We understand that our treatment is not comprehensive for every individual’s situation. That’s why we provide trusted, professional referrals for the following:
